Mainly those stupid lists of questions that get sent around in emails, where you answer a ton of inane questions on the pretense that you will learn something new about the person you send the emails to. Except I never actually respond to any of them. Well, here goes… 1. Gold or silver? . . Silver, definitely 2. Favorite TV show? . . Well now it’s West Wing! Wait ‘til I start a new show, we shall see… 3. Who would you hate to be left in a room with? . . Well, I can’t think of anyone right off the top of my head… 4. What inspires you? . . Almost everything 5. Summer or winter? . . Neither, Fall 6. Favorite ice cream? . . Chocolate chip cookie dough… or is it mint chocolate chip… or maybe hot melted caramel on plain old vanilla… or butterscotch... 7. Favorite crayola color? . . Brick red 8. True love? . . Is a needle in a haystack… a BIG needle in a small haystack… if you open your eyes and look around you, you just might find it... I did!! 9. What characteristics do you despise? . . Laziness, stupidity, lack of concern for others, lack of common sense… well now that we have HALF the population of earth covered… 10. Favorite flower? . . Carnations, but definitely not pink ones! 11. How many keys on your key ring? . . At present only two per key ring, but there was a time… oh, yeah, and I have like six key rings 12. Where would you retire? . . probably the mountains 13. Red or white wine? . . White, though red does have its purposes and places 14. If you died tomorrow who would you leave everything you own to? . . My son 15. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would you change (personality and looks)? . . I would say to be more outgoing, but then I know that I would lose something in the translation, so probably for my hair to be straight 16. Religious affiliation? . . None, Agnostic, that is to say that I reserve the right to question everything, and the right to be wrong about it, as well as the right to just believe in myself and who I am 17. What is the one thing you just have to do before you die? . . Build me a damn computer that DOESN'T crash all the time, DOESN'T have every issue and then some, and DOESN'T take three hours ro accomplish anything 18. If you won the lottery what would you do with your, let's say, 18 million dollars? . . Well lets see, first I would give about 8 of that to MDA, then I would buy a large piece of land, proceed with the building of a house, allotting about 2 million to the land and building costs (all energy efficient and such, of course), keep about 500,000 of it in a checking account to buy gifts for people and generally enjoy myself, put the rest into a few investment plans (savings accounts, money markets, portfolios, IRAs, etc. – diversify, diversify, diversify!), and then go back to work 19. What do you want people to say about you when you die? . . That they remember me fondly and appreciate what they gained from knowing me 20. What's your biggest fear? . . That I will not live up to my own expectations 21. What's your most prized (material) possession? . . I have two: my son and a small silver necklace that once belonged to my aunt (although my son isn't truly a possession, I just prize him :)) 22. What do you look for in the opposite sex? . . Brains, the ability to hold a decent conversation, a willingness to listen, honesty, kindness, an open mind, a sense of humor and a good heart 23. If you were given one day to live what would you do? . . Spend every minute of it telling those I love how much they mean to me 24. What's your best physical feature? . . My shoulders 25. What have you learned about love? . . That it hurts, but that if you let the hurt stop you, you can never experience the good in it either 26. How have you changed in the past year? . . I have looked more into myself and seen more about myself and come to accept some of it more readily, some of it I have come to see as something that needs work 27. Diamonds or pearls? . . Pearls 28. What do you usually have for breakfast? . . Cereal, if I eat at all, sometimes on the weekends when I feel like cooking I eat pancakes or eggs 30. Favorite cuisine? . . Italian mostly, but I love Mexican too, and of course good old fashioned down home Texas fare is good too 31. What is your middle name? . . Fawn 32. What food do you dislike? . . Salami, ketchup, anchovies, oysters…. I think that about covers it 33. What is your favorite CD at the moment? . . The one I made – a mix 34. Favorite sandwich? . . Schlotzchy’s ham and cheese with everything on it (and I am almost certain I spelled that wrong) 35. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would it be? . . Rome to see what remains of ancient times 36. Favorite sport to watch? . . Hockey, duh! Go Stars!! Don't mess with my Stars, man! 37. Are you a morning person or a night person? . . Night mostly, but that’s because I don’t have a reason to be a morning person… I have had, though, and I was just fine with mornings once I got the whole body clock thing going the right direction 38. What is your shoe size? . . 9-10, depending on the shoe 39. What did you want to be when you were little? . . A teacher 40. What is your favorite candy? . . Anything peanut butter, but most things make my teeth hurt 41. Four movies I would watch over and over: Brave Heart Star Wars Pretty Woman ANYTHING BUT THE NEVER ENDING STORY!!!!!!!! 42. Four places I have lived: California – George Airforce Base Pinellas Park, Florida England – I don’t know the name of the Airforce base Fort Worth, Texas (and Arlington and Watauga and Keller) That’s it! 43. Four places I have been on vacation: Florida Texas Florida Texas Boring list isn’t it? 44. Four things important to know about me: I am a hard nut to crack, emotionally speaking I expect honesty, and accept honesty, even if it’s hard to handle. I have a problem with handling stress and anxiety at times. I used to take medication to deal with this problem. It took me a few years to come to terms with this, but I have, and I will deal. I was taken off of them recently, once I discovered that not allowing the wrong people near enough to keep me feeling bad about myself and my life made a HUGE difference. I do at times have a way of getting in my own way… so to speak. So if you see me standing in my way, just tell me to move so I can get through. Sometimes I just don't see me standing there!  | |||||
